Apprentice – $65 + GST per hour

Call-Out Fee
A one-off charge covering travel, administration, and vehicle costs.
Travel & Parking
Jobs requiring more than 30 minutes’ travel may incur additional travel time. Any parking fees, permits, or tolls will be added to your invoice.
Cancellations/Rescheduling
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. We’re happy to reschedule free of charge, but late cancellations may incur a fee.
Quotes and Variations
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Estimates are indicative only and may change depending on site conditions.
The quoted price covers only the described scope of work.
If additional work or materials are needed due to unforeseen issues (like hidden wiring faults or safety upgrades), we’ll notify you and get approval before proceeding.
Site Access and Safety
Please ensure safe, clear, and reasonable access to the work area.
If unsafe conditions are found (e.g. asbestos, leaks, live wiring), we may suspend work until the issue is resolved.
Additional costs or delays caused by unsafe or inaccessible conditions may be charged to you.
Payment
For call-out or emergency jobs, payment is due on completion, unless agreed otherwise.
For invoiced jobs, payment is due by the due date stated on the invoice.
Deposits or progress payments may be required before or during larger jobs — we’ll let you know in advance.
If a deposit invoice is not paid before work commences, we may pause or cancel the job.
Late or Unpaid Accounts
Late payments may attract a $100 late fee and 8% monthly compounding interest.
You’ll also be responsible for any reasonable debt recovery or legal costs we incur.
We reserve the right to suspend further work until payment is made in full.
Ownership of Materials
Ownership of any materials we supply remains with This is Electric until payment is received in full.
Risk (responsibility for loss or damage) passes to you once materials are installed or delivered to site.
Warranties and Consumer Guarantees
All work is carried out in line with Australian standards. We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty, in addition to any manufacturer warranties and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Under the ACL, you’re entitled to guarantees that services will be:
Carried out with due care and skill
Fit for their intended purpose
Completed within a reasonable time
If you believe any work is defective, please contact us promptly so we can inspect and fix it.
Cancellations, Delays & Force Majeure
If we’re unable to perform work due to factors outside our control — such as weather, illness, safety risks, or supply chain issues — we may reschedule or cancel the job.
We’ll always communicate as early as possible and find a suitable alternative time.
Disputes and Feedback
We’re committed to great service. If you’re unhappy with our work or have a concern about an invoice, please contact us immediately so we can make it right.
Delaying payment makes it harder for us to resolve issues quickly.
Privacy
We collect and store your personal information (such as name, address, phone number, and email) to provide electrical services and manage our relationship with you.
We use third party software platforms to manage your personal information safely and securely and will never trade your personal information.
We handle all personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and will never sell or misuse your data.
Photos and Marketing
We may take photos of completed work for quality assurance or marketing purposes.
No identifying details of you or your property will be shared without your consent.
Amendments
We may update these terms from time to time.
The version in place at the time of booking or quote acceptance applies to your job.
The most recent version is always available upon request.
